Back Home

Flannel and Blouse: Target, Necklace: Altr'd State, Jeans: American Eagle, Shoes: Macy's
This was my last winter break before I graduate. It is also the first break that I've spent almost entirely at home in two years. For the past two summers I have had jobs out of town and out of state and last winter break I took a class abroad. I loved those experiences, but it is nice to be home for a month, especially since I will soon be moving out for good.

I live in a small, rural county and while my house is in the suburbs, it is surrounded by country. My backyard has woodlands and a creek that's beauty I don't appreciate enough.

When I wear this flannel I feel connected to my hometown and its style. The style of my town is casual and reflects the rural/suburban atmosphere. Flannels are a huge trend because they have the comfort of a sweatshirt with the style of a real shirt. And because they come in so many color combinations they are practically customizable. My flannels are always on rotation in my wardrobe during the fall and winter.
