Monthly Favorites: January

1. I got to attend the National Retail Federation's Student Program in Manhattan a few weeks ago. I haven't been to New York since I was a kid, so it was an adventure. I got a lot of experience on the subway traveling back and forth from my cousin's apartment in Brooklyn to the conference in uptown Manhattan. The conference was for college students who are interested in working in retail, whether that be on the storefront or corporate level. They had CEOs from a bunch of different companies such as Neiman Marcus, &pizza, Story, Warby Parker, Sam's Club, and even Daymond John from Shark Tank. I want to own my own fashion and lifestyle brand one day, so the weekend was very helpful and encouraging. I met a lot of cool professionals as well as other students.
